Lynda H. McMaken
I graduated from Indiana University with undergraduate majors in English and Psychology, obtaining my JD in 1987 with an emphasis in estate planning, tax and business law. In my years of practice, I have prepared many estate plans ranging from simple wills to more complex wills with trusts. My advanced directive form received high praise from the Mayo Clinic, where doctors called it, “the best they’d seen.” Powers of Attorney, both durable and specific, are important documents in managing financial affairs during life.
I work in the area of business law, from setting up the most-appropriate structure (sole proprietor, limited-liability company, corporations or partnership) to common business legal needs for the closely held business.
Clients also rely on me for counsel with acquisitions, financing, real estate transactions, government regulation compliance, contracts, and complex negotiations.
I present community workshops in estate planning, business law and Charitable giving.
Before going to law school, I founded The Management Company in Indianapolis, Indiana, which helped private, public, and non-profit organizations with marketing strategies, business plans, and community events. Clients included:
The Indianapolis Foundation
Indiana University School of Law at Indianapolis
American Cancer Society, Indiana Division
College Life Insurance Company
Stenz Real Estate Corporation
